The growth has been a testament to the new partnerships and expanded air product that have been made available on StudentUniverse over the course of the last four months since StudentUniverse joined Flight Centre Travel Group.
A partnership with British Airways was one of the key carrier relationships forged by StudentUniverse this year-to-date. British Airways is the largest airline in the UK based on fleet size, providing great expansion to the direct route network available on StudentUniverse. Not only will the flight discounts apply to British Airways-operated flights, but its entire network, including codeshare flights.
In addition to British Airways:
- TAP Portugal and Turkish Airlines have begun offering student fares through StudentUniverse, allowing students and faculty to book fares across their entire flight networks.
- WestJet’s contract with StudentUniverse is now global, allowing students of any age to buy intra-Canada flights, as well as routes from the UK to the US and Canada.

- Air Serbia has begun offering discounts for students (up to age 30) and youth fares through StudentUniverse, which will help students travel cheaper on routes from London to Belgrade, Bucharest, Rome, Athens, Istanbul, Tel Aviv and many other destinations.
