SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Vern Fonk Insurance today announced the launch of its first-ever “Make Us Laugh” online video contest. From April 4 through April 22, contestants can submit a one-minute video showcasing their comedic talents. The contestant who receives the most votes will be prized $1,000 in cash and the chance to be featured in an official Vern Fonk commercial.
The contest was inspired by the work of the late Rob Thielke, former president of Vern Fonk. In 1995, Thielke began creating the company’s signature slapstick TV commercials, most of which featured him in a starring role. Thielke passed in August, 2015, aged 50 years old, and the “Make Us Laugh” contest is an informal tribute to his work.

How to enter the “Make Us Laugh” video contest:
1) Create a funny one-minute video
2) Upload the video to their
YouTube
3) Go to the Vern Fonk Facebook
page to submit their YouTube video link
The “Makes Us Laugh” contest is open only to legal residents of Oregon and Washington who are at least 18 years old at the time of entry. All video submissions will be voted on over five days from April 25 to April 29. The winner of the contest will be announced within a few days after the contest closes.
