ARLINGTON, Va.--()--The CEA Foundation is pleased to announce the winners of its first "technology that improves lives" video contest. Aipoly, HelpAround, Los Angeles Low Vision, Perceptive Devices and WHILL were selected from more than 20 entries from companies showing off technology that has a positive impact on older adults and people with disabilities. Each winner will receive a booth in Eureka Park during CES 2016 and $2,500.

In the U.S. there are more than 47 million people age 65 or older, and more than 56 million people report having some form of disability. The CEA Foundation is reaching this community in need by supporting nonprofits utilizing innovative technologies to enhance the lives of seniors and people with disabilities. These winners will join the many other innovations on display at CES 2016.

Larry Richenstein, chair of the CEA Foundation, said “There is a strong need for technology to help augment current services to enable us to all live longer, healthier and more independent lives. We are excited to recognize just a few of the companies that are innovating to meet this demand.”
