MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AllOver Media, LLC (AOM), a portfolio company of Audax Private Equity and the largest alternative out-of-home advertising platform in the United States, today announced the purchase of Ripple Resort Media, Inc., a company based in Aspen, Colo., that caters to the top North American winter resorts. AOM continues to rapidly expand its targeted and contextual platform to help advertisers reach specific audiences at ideal times.
Ripple Resort Media has brought together premier resorts in North America with their patented MapLinks map and advertising display system. MapLinks provides resort guests with a convenient map of the resort while they ride the chairlift and at the same time engages these consumers in a captive environment with relevant and targeted advertising.
“Since our origination in 2002, AllOver Media has focused on developing and deploying a diverse set of advertising mediums at high-traffic indoor and outdoor locations throughout the United States, and this acquisition is a perfect complement to our expanding portfolio,” said Tony Jacobson, CEO and Founder of AllOver Media. “Ripple Resort Media offers a highly innovative medium for advertising, which is a key goal for AOM. They also target a much sought-after audience and deliver relevant advertising for a significant amount of time. Their unique advertising medium reaches affluent ski resort visitors from every major metropolitan area in the country, which helps us further expand consumer reach for advertisers.”
“By creating a product that serves both the consumer and the resort goals for information, MapLinks soon became the industry standard,” said Matt Jay, Founder and President of Ripple Resort Media. “Our focus on partnerships with premier mountain destinations coupled with national reach, a creative media platform and logistical capabilities have provided a winning formula for resorts, consumers and progressive brands. Joining AOM’s national portfolio will only serve to enhance the value we deliver on all levels.”
Geoffrey S. Rehnert, Co-CEO of Audax Group, said, “Ripple Resort Media is a market leader with its patented MapLinks map and advertising display system and has an unparalleled reputation for providing exceptional service to their customers. We look forward to continuing to grow AOM organically and through strategic add-on acquisitions.”
