Square Roots Forms to Improve Maternal Health

Square Roots Forms to Improve Health at Foundation of Life and Proposes First-Ever Maternal Care Resolution During U.S. Conference of Mayors 83rd Annual Meeting

SAN FRANCISCO--()--Square Roots, a life sciences company fully integrating technology and human services for pregnant women and infants, will announce their company launch this afternoon in San Francisco. Through its unique framework that includes life sciences, culture, and solutions, Square Roots will integrate evidenced-based health information and cutting-edge technology that connects the dots of existing medical care options with human needs.

“We are failing our mothers in the United States and the data is overwhelming,” said Morad Fareed, Founder and CEO of Square Roots. “We rank 55th in the world in infant mortality. The most important determinant of ensuring lifelong health is pregnancy and the first days of life and we are therefore failing our future. Square Roots will leverage existing technology, accelerate development of new technologies through strategic investment, and team with medical experts and providers who work directly with patients that will help pregnant women and their infants have the best possible health outcomes.”

The Square Roots call-to-action assembly will present an overview of the first-ever maternal health resolution, to be proposed by the company and its program partners, on the eve of the U.S. Conference of Mayors’ 83rd Annual Meeting on Saturday, June 20, 2015. This resolution will encourage the healthcare delivery system, technology and wellness sectors combined with federal and state governments to prioritize accessible health information and care solutions for expectant mothers.

“I am delighted to be part of this newly formed company that will initiate groundbreaking roles with federal policy to create a positive health impact for expectant mothers and infants,” said Honorable Richard Gephardt, former House Majority Leader and Founding Partner in Square Roots.

During the event, key members of the Square Roots Medical Advisory Board and company Board of Advisors will be introduced, bringing together a blue-chip group of the brightest minds in science and medicine from leading institutions across the country.

After the event, guests will be invited to the program launch of the Clinton Foundation 20/30 young professionals network in San Francisco, of which Square Roots is the Founding Partner.

"We are proud and excited to launch our effort to engage the next generation of leaders in San Francisco alongside Square Roots,” said Danielle Stilz, the Chief Development Officer of the Clinton Foundation.
