Hypori Named First Virtual Mobile Device Approved by NSA for U.S. Government Classified Use

Listing on NSA Commercial Solutions for Classified Program validates stringent security standards across Hypori’s Android Cloud Environment Platform

AUSTIN, Texas--()--Hypori today announced it has been approved by the United States government as the first virtual mobile device to meet stringent requirements for classified mobility. The company’s Android Cloud Environment (ACE) Client is now listed on the National Security Agency (NSA) Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) Program Components in the TLS Software Applications category, and is undergoing certification for Common Criteria under the Protection Profile for Application Software as well as FIPS 140-2 Level 1 certification. With Hypori, organizations such as the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) can overcome significant mobile challenges associated with data at rest (DAR) and attestation.

Hypori’s Virtual Mobile Infrastructure platform, which includes the ACE Client, allows any commercial or custom Android application to be delivered securely as a service from a DoD-approved cloud on networks up to Top Secret classification. The ACE platform handles authentication and encryption, eliminating the need for apps to go through Common Criteria certification.

“Hypori’s ACE platform delivers a critical missing piece that is required for classified organizations like the DoD to deploy mobile apps on classified networks,” said Justin Marston, CEO of Hypori. “Being the first virtual mobile device to receive an NSA CSfC listing validates the value proposition we deliver to the public sector as well as any other organization looking to solve BYOD and mobile challenges. Our platform provides an ‘easy’ button for securing a diverse ecosystem of commercial mobile apps in the enterprise.”

“Ever since the launch of the iPhone, high profile end users have sought ways to securely use everyday apps on their classified mobile devices,” said Dan Brigati, vice president, Public Sector at Hypori. “We’re extremely pleased about this approval and knowing that our software will lead the transformation and solve a critical need for the nation’s senior leadership.”

Hypori was founded by an experienced technology team with deep roots in mobility, security and Android development. The company’s ACE platform, co-developed with the U.S. Department of Defense, is a mobile-first thin client solution that provides remote access to virtual mobile devices running in a private, public or hybrid cloud that can be accessed from iPads, iPhones and Android end-point devices.

With support for multiple platforms and seamless integration with off-the-shelf mobile apps and Enterprise Mobile Management (EMM) technologies, Hypori’s highly scalable infrastructure helps commercial and public sector organizations bridge the gap between mobile productivity and mobile security.
