MIAMI BEACH, Fla.--()--Gloria Estefan, Andrea Bocelli, Barry Gibb, Flo Rida, Wyclef Jean, Jon Secada and Diego Torres are just a few of the celebrities who will be helping Miami Beach celebrate its 100th birthday at a huge centennial concert on March 26th produced by Hard Rock Rising. The concert is the centerpiece of 100 hours of celebrations taking place from March 22-27th and include 100 couples getting married on the beach and 100 new citizens being naturalized. On the 27th, a climate change conference with Al Roker will tackle strategies for the next century.

“Miami Beach is like no other destination in the world and to celebrate its 100th birthday we are throwing a party for residents and visitors like nothing anyone has ever seen before,” says Miami Beach Mayor, Philip Levine. “Between the concert, the 100 weddings I'll be officiating, the photo exhibit, the tennis tournament, the car show and so much more, everyone will find their own way to celebrate this historic occasion.”

With the official centennial theme, “This is How We Celebrate,” the city will commemorate this historic event with a spectacular 100-hour non-stop celebration that will culminate with the Hard Rock Rising Miami Beach Global Music Festival directly on the beach with many well-known, world-class performing artists and talented musicians.

The centennial events will also serve as a platform to address climate change and issues like sea-level rise while the "Community Resiliency Summit-Miami Beach Rising Above" on March 27th will provide a forum to discuss some of the most pressing concerns facing the environment and provide strategies to tackle the next century.

The ongoing Centennial Photo Exhibition held at Miami Beach City Hall, features historic pictures that capture the past, present and future of Miami Beach.
