AUBURN HILLS, Mich. & TOKYO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Takata Corporation (7312: JP), a leading global supplier of automotive safety systems, today announced that Bruce D. Angiolillo has been named General Counsel of TK Holdings Inc., the North American subsidiary of Takata Corporation, effective January 1, 2015. Mr. Angiolillo joins Takata following a 34-year career at the highly respected global law firm Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP.
As General Counsel of TK Holdings, Mr. Angiolillo will oversee all North American legal and regulatory matters at the Company and work directly with Takata’s senior management, external legal counsel and the Company’s governing bodies. He will play an integral role in Takata’s continued efforts to work cooperatively with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and other regulators to resolve all outstanding issues related to the safety campaigns associated with certain Takata airbag inflators.

Mr. Angiolillo has been ranked in “Band 1” by Chambers USA as a Leading Individual in Securities Litigation in New York and nationally for the last ten consecutive years (2005 – 2014). Mr. Angiolillo received his B.A., magna cum laude, from Amherst College in 1974 and his J.D. from Columbia Law School in 1977, where he is a member of the Board of Visitors.
