HAGERSTOWN, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Merkle Response Management Group (Merkle RMG), a subsidiary of Merkle, a leading technology-enabled, data-driven customer relationship marketing (CRM) firm and the nation’s largest privately held agency, announced that it has been selected by the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) to manage the organization’s direct mail donation processing requirements. Headquartered in Chicago, Ill., MDA is the world’s leading nonprofit health agency working to defeat muscular dystrophy through worldwide research and support programs. The three-year contract began in June 2014.
MDA turned to Merkle RMG to provide top-notch donation processing services and allow the organization to focus internal resources on its core mission. Under the terms of the contract, Merkle RMG is delivering a complete direct mail donation processing solution that includes timely mail opening, electronic check deposits, PCI-compliant credit card settlements, flexible document scanning, accurate data entry, and online image access through Arch-e, a web-based document search and retrieval tool. Importantly for MDA, Merkle RMG also handles most of the exception transactions previously handled in-house, including reject letters and matching gifts as well as responses requiring look-up and direct keying in MDA’s database.
“It proved to be an easy decision for MDA to partner with Merkle RMG to handle our donation processing needs,” said Lisa Wettstaedt, vice president, Direct Response & Donor Care, MDA. “Knowing Merkle RMG’s great reputation in the nonprofit community, we weren’t surprised that the on-boarding process was seamless and customer service and response times have already proven to be exceptional. In the short time we’ve been working together, it’s become clear that the speed and accuracy of our donation processing has improved, and we’ve been able to reduce our overall direct mail donation processing costs as well. We look forward to calling upon Merkle RMG’s knowledge and experience to support our strategic objectives as part of a long-term relationship between our organizations.”
“We are privileged to work and partner with such a renowned and esteemed organization like MDA,” said Bill Sayre, president of Merkle RMG. “Our proven approach assures every piece of mail processed for MDA is handled quickly and accurately according to their unique business requirements. This approach enables all of our nonprofit clients to delight their donors with every interaction, improve their direct mail fundraising results, and stay laser focused on their mission.”
