SAN ANTONIO & CRANBURY, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AirStrip®, the leading provider of mobile healthcare solutions for driving clinical transformation, today announced a partnership with PeriGen®, an innovative provider of clinical decision support-based obstetrics (OB) technology, to incorporate a number of PeriGen’s tools into AirStrip’s interoperable enterprise mobility solution.
The combined applications will bring enhanced context and decision support capabilities to the AirStrip ONE® solution to augment near real-time mobile data exchange in hospital labor and delivery departments. The tools enable OB clinicians to diagnose and treat evolving conditions faster and more effectively.
The agreement integrates PeriGen’s PeriCALM® PatternsTM with AirStrip ONE to mobilize assessments and interpretations of fetal heart rate patterns, employing long-term and detailed views of waveform tracings, and evidence-based analysis and statistical data.
“This collaboration supports AirStrip’s development of a comprehensive maternal-fetal mobility solution that monitors high-risk pregnancies from any location when medically necessary, from the home to the hospital to aftercare,” said AirStrip CEO Alan Portela. ”OB clinicians will benefit from the delivery of higher quality care while having the ability to better mitigate the risks associated with childbirth. This enriched care coordination can also help hospitals realize potential savings through the reduced length of inpatient stays.”
“PeriGen’s patented solution, independently validated by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, supports timely obstetric decision-making and communications throughout the entire care team,” said Matthew Sappern, PeriGen CEO. “PeriGen paired with AirStrip ONE gives clinicians unprecedented access and insight to the most critical and time-sensitive indicators of each labor.”
The AirStrip and PeriGen agreement is the latest in a series of business development and partnership announcements from AirStrip this year to further strengthen the company’s comprehensive solutions. In March, AirStrip acquired the assets of Sense4Baby, Inc., wireless fetal/maternal monitoring system. AirStrip also announced agreements with Texas Health Resources and RegionalCare Hospital Partners, and launched the AirStrip Innovation Marketplace (AIM), along with the first AIM collaborations with the University of Michigan Center for Integrative Research in Critical Care and MedStar Health.
