European Coffee House Caffè Nero to Open First U.S. Location in Boston

Award-winning master roaster and European coffee house to open at Millennium Place in April

BOSTON--()--Caffè Nero, the highly regarded and award-winning master coffee roaster and European coffee house, will open its first U.S. location in Boston in April. Caffè Nero offers premium award-winning Italian coffee blended and roasted in an old world style, a warm and authentic coffee house atmosphere, and freshly-made artisan food. The new Boston coffee house will be located in the city’s thriving Downtown Crossing neighborhood at Millennium Place, a first of its kind residential building by award-winning developer Millennium Partners.

Caffè Nero is Europe’s most successful independent coffee house operator. It is dedicated to providing customers with the best possible coffee experience with premium hand-crafted coffee made in a time-honored artisanal way. Caffè Nero brings expertise to all facets of the coffee-making process, from hand-selecting the right beans and roasting them to perfection to employing knowledgeable baristas who can create exceptional cups of coffee. Caffè Nero operates its own Roastery, where it creates unique espresso blends which are the foundation for every cup of coffee it serves.

“We look forward to introducing Caffè Nero to U.S. coffee-drinkers, and becoming part of the Boston and Millennium Place community,” said Gerry Ford, chairman and founder of Caffè Nero. “I love Boston because it is such a beautiful, vibrant city. I lived here as a graduate student and feel it is a natural fit for our first U.S. location. We think coffee lovers will enjoy our award-winning blends and appreciate the hours of craftsmanship Caffè Nero puts into each cup we serve.”

Along with serving its award-winning coffee, Caffè Nero aims to bring a European coffee house atmosphere and cozy neighborhood gathering spot for locals, including current residents at Millennium Place. As a complement to its premium coffee, Caffè Nero will serve high-quality, freshly-made food from local artisan purveyors that are inspired by classic European recipes.

“We’re looking to bring European coffee house culture to the United States,” said Jay Gentile, director of U.S. operations for Caffè Nero. “Caffè Nero is an accessible, friendly coffee house where customers are welcome to grab a bite to eat, meet friends, catch up on work or simply read and relax.”

Caffè Nero is an independent, family-owned and founder-run business with a strong reputation for quality and service. For more information about Caffè Nero and its first U.S. location in Boston, please visit www.CaffeNero.com/US.
