HomeServe USA Relocates Its Headquarters to Norwalk

North American Headquarters moving to larger facility to support employee growth

NORWALK, Conn.--()--HomeServe USA (HomeServe), today announced the move of its corporate headquarters from Stamford to Norwalk, Connecticut. The decision to relocate was primarily driven by the rapid growth of HomeServe’s business and employee base, as a leading provider of home emergency repair service plans across the U.S. and Canada.

HomeServe’s new headquarters will be located in the Merritt 7 Corporate Office Park at 601 Merritt 7, a LEED-certified, 208,000 square foot facility with seven floors. HomeServe will occupy the entire 6th floor.

HomeServe USA, the American arm of HomeServe plc, was established in 2002 in Miami, FL and began providing service to customers in 2003. The company opened its headquarters in Stamford, CT in 2008 and added additional offices in 2010 in Chattanooga, TN and technician sites in the metro New York and New England areas. Since 2008, the number of employees in HomeServe’s Connecticut office has grown from 20 to over one hundred and today, the company has nearly 650 employees across the U.S.

“Our business has seen tremendous growth over the past decade as American homeowners have come to understand the value our service plans provide, and we’ve increased our employee numbers to meet that demand,” said Tom Rusin, CEO, HomeServe USA. “We’ve outgrown our Stamford office, which is the best kind of problem to have. This larger facility in Norwalk will better accommodate our expansion needs and position us for continued growth into the future.”

As part of its decision to relocate, HomeServe has committed to retaining 109 jobs and creating an additional 130 jobs in Connecticut over the next five years. Governor Dannel Malloy and the State of Connecticut through the Department of Economic and Community Development are providing HomeServe with a $1 million grant and other financial incentives to assist with the expansion project.

“We appreciate the efforts of Governor Malloy and the State of Connecticut to help local businesses like HomeServe prosper,” added Rusin. “We’re delighted to continue to call Connecticut our home.”
