Industry Thought Leaders Join Assay Depot’s Board of Directors

Peter G. Schultz and Bernard H. Munos Bring Valuable Experience as Company Continues Expansion

SAN DIEGO--()--Assay Depot, the pharmaceutical industry’s leading marketplace for scientific services, today announced the addition of two industry experts to its board of directors. The appointments come at a pivotal time as the company positions itself to support the growing needs of an industry undergoing radical change.

“By simplifying access to research tools and experts, and sharing pre-competitive information across multiple pharmaceutical companies, Assay Depot is changing how drug research is done,” said Peter G. Schultz, the Scripps Family Chair Professor of Chemistry at The Scripps Research Institute. “I look forward to helping expand this new platform across the industry.”

Often referred to as the “Amazon.com for Scientists,” Assay Depot has developed the first and only cloud-based drug research platform that allows researchers to locate research services from qualified vendors quickly, efficiently and at no cost. Assay Depot’s network of online Research Exchanges streamline communications between scientists and 8,000+ global research vendors and – for the first time – makes it possible to develop a drug in an entirely virtual fashion using only research providers found through the site.

“Pharmaceutical innovation needs Assay Depot. It empowers scientists to explore intriguing ideas like never before,” said Bernard Munos, founder of InnoThink. “Whether they work in large or small organizations, or even alone, scientists can use Assay Depot to access the tools they need to turn their great ideas into advances that will speed the development of new therapies. It’s a game-changer.”
