AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mutual Mobile today announced it has been named to the Inc. 30 Under 30 list of rising stars who are disrupting industries, making millions, and building highly successful companies – all before the age of 30.
Collectively, this year’s honorees racked up more than $300 million in revenue in 2012, employ approximately 2,500 people, and have raised in excess of $366 million in outside investment capital to grow their companies. More than 650 submissions were evaluated, with Mutual Mobile being recognized as one of the largest tech companies to make the B2B “hot” list.
“It is a tremendous honor to be selected to such a prestigious list of young, innovative entrepreneurs, and to join the exclusive club of startups that have been named before us,” said John Arrow, CEO of Mutual Mobile. “I continue to be inspired by the talented team that helped get us here, and our customers and partners who challenge us to push the boundaries of mobile in new and unexpected directions.”
According to Inc., B2B companies represented the single most dominant category on the list, confirming the growing need among institutions to better leverage technology to manage all aspects of their businesses.
Mutual Mobile’s focus on B2B clients, and decision not to take venture funding, were noted as key contributing factors to the company’s success – including more than $26 million in revenue last year, and 300 employees worldwide. The company has been profitable since day one, and counts Google, Cisco and Philips among its clients.
The Inc. 30 Under 30 adds to Mutual Mobile’s growing list of accolades this year, which include being named to Forbes’ list of America’s Most Promising Companies for the second year in a row, two ADDY® Awards from the Austin Advertising Federation for creative excellence in the art of advertising, and selection of CEO John Arrow as a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2013 (Central Texas).
