The Spa at Williams Island Debuts to Members

$5 million facility opens - part of $10 million major Island renovation plan

AVENTURA, Fla.--()--Life on The Florida Riviera is meant to be enjoyed. This holds true for Islanders relishing every aspect of their completely refurbished 27,000 square foot Spa at Williams Island.

The decades old Spa was completely renovated and re-built including the roof structure. The $5 million Spa construction project is part of the overall $10 million Williams Island Renaissance campaign for the 28-year-old community. Phase 1 of the project is now complete and includes the Front Gate Entrance Way, the 183rd Street Monument Sign in Aventura and $5 million, 27,000 sf Spa project. Phase 2 of the project includes the Resident Gate, Bus Shelter, Island Club refurbishment followed by enhancements to the Island Club Pool and Café restaurant for the remainder of 2013 and 2014.

“These renovation projects are to elevate and enhance the Island community and increase property values,” says Williams Island General Manager Janette Giddings, PCAM. “The Williams Island lifestyle is all about the amenities. One of the benefits of living in this Island community is having your very own five-star Spa on premises.”

“Spa members will find a bliss-inspiring selection of therapeutic facial, massage and body care treatments, along with a state-of-the-art invigorating exercise facility, men’s and women’s full-service amenity locker rooms with steam, sauna, whirlpool and cold plunge,” says Williams Island Spa Director Marie Parodi. “With a new spa product line by Darphin Paris and organic treatments by Eminence, spa goers will enter a world of heavenly indulgence.”

The Spa also features a 60-foot indoor lap pool for members who embrace the benefits of water training. Hot stone massage; specialized spine stretch Breuss massage; reflexology – a host of soothing and energizing spa treatments are performed by licensed therapists in private treatment rooms. Spa Director Marie Parodi adds, “Everything was designed for our members’ comfort and relaxation.”

Luxury builder and Williams Island POA Board Member and Construction Committee Chairman Jonathan Fels supervised the Spa project team consisting of: Amicon Construction Services serving as Owner’s Representative for the Williams Island POA; John Forbes, Project Architect; LM Development, General Contractor; and Fanny Haim & Associates, Interior Design Firm.

The 84-acre community is nestled in the heart of Aventura. It features more than 1,900 condominiums and townhomes along with a world class private marina, grand slam tennis center and State-of-the-Art Spa. Bellini is the most recent and final new construction on Williams Island. It will feature 70 private residences and will open in summer 2013.

Williams Island is also home to 18 time winning Grand Slam Champion Tennis Legend Fred Stolle. Ranking seventh on the all-time list of champions, Mr. Stolle was a member of Australia's Davis Cup teams from 1964 until 1967, where he won 13 of the 14 matches while playing on four victorious teams.
