LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--TruConnect Mobile LLC today announced it will deliver Internet on the Go™ “Go Big” and “Go Bigger” plans that offer great mobile Internet access value for both casual and heavy users exclusively at Walmart.
Internet on the Go services have always featured data that rolls over from month to month with no set expiration date (if used once per year), which makes them very popular with users who need occasional Internet access.
The new “Go Big” plan gives these users up to 4 Gigabytes (GB) of data, which means fewer refills and the assurance that the purchased megabytes (MB) will remain in the user’s account until they are used (if used once per year). Go Big plans range in cost from $10 for 500 MB of data, $25 for 1.5GB and $45 for 4 GB.
For heavier data users, the “Go Bigger” plan offers up to 8 GB of data, and has a 30-day expiration from date of redemption. The service is ideal for a growing segment of users who want a single prepaid service to use both as the primary Internet access at home and also while on the road.
The Go Bigger plan is much less expensive than comparable services from major phone carriers, but still offers the flexibility of a prepaid program for users that don’t want to be locked into a long-term contract. Go Bigger plans range in cost from $10 for 1.0 GB of data, $25 for 3GB and $45 for 8 GB.
Internet on the Go service is powered by the MiFi 2200® Intelligent Mobile Hotspot, which allows users to connect up to five WiFi-enabled devices and which is being sold at a new low price of $79.88. New users of both of the plans will also get a bonus 3GB of data, worth up to $25, added to the user’s account with the first refill after the purchase of the Internet on the Go Mobile Hotspot.
Customers purchase the refill cards exclusively at a Walmart store or at walmart.com. They choose the Go Big or Go Bigger option when they redeem the card. Neither plan features any other charges like activation fees or overage charges. Customers can also refill online at www.internet-go.com with a credit or debit card if preferred.
“From the very start we’ve wanted to bring to the mobile broadband market an affordable pay-as-you-go data service that allows users the freedom to choose the right plan that works the best for them,” said Kevin Hamilton, president and CEO of TruConnect. “Expanding and growing our mobile broadband plans at Walmart has allowed us to offer occasional and heavy data users the data plans that cater to their exact needs and not charging them an arm and a leg for that data.”
To best understand which size refill card to purchase, it’s important to understand what can be done with a megabyte of data. For example, 100 MB is enough data to view up to 700 web pages, read or send 1,500-2,000 emails, post 1,200 social media updates, listen to 100 minutes of music or view 50 minutes of a YouTube-quality video.
Internet on the Go supports any Wi-Fi-equipped device using Windows, Mac OSX, Apple iOS and Google Android operating systems. And, there are no contracts, no activation fees, no monthly bills, no bundled data plans and no overage charges.
Internet on the Go services are provided on the nationwide Sprint Network, which covers 97 percent of the U.S. For information, please visit www.internet-go.com.
