LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SoPeachi Entertainment announces the digital release of “Garfield and Friends,” “US Acres” and the multi-Primetime, Emmy® Award-winning Garfield TV Specials. Releasing on May 15, 2012, SoPeachi is making available for the first time to digital platforms the complete seven-season TV Series (121 episodes) and 10 of the primetime TV Specials. The shows have been digitally re-mastered for the release and are being presented with new artwork.
Jim Davis’ Garfield is one of the most beloved and enduring iconic characters in TV history. Garfield first appeared as a comic strip in 1978 and was later animated for TV specials and the “Garfield and Friends” series. The shows ran on CBS Saturday mornings from 1988 to 1994, with reruns airing through 1995. The show's seven seasons make it one of the longest running Saturday morning cartoons in history.
