HARRINGTON PARK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Bertrand Camus, a 15-year veteran in the international water sector, will assume the leadership of SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT North America and United Water as Chief Executive Officer of the water and wastewater services subsidiary of SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT (Paris Exchange:SVE). He will report to Jean-Louis Chaussade, CEO of SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT, and will serve on the parent company’s Executive Committee.
Camus will succeed Tony Harding, who will continue as Chairman of the Board of Directors for both SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT North America and United Water. Harding will also assume the role of Senior Vice President for SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT International and report to Jean-Louis Chaussade.
Bertrand Camus joined the group in 1993, where he has held several positions working on business development of the water and wastewater industry in eastern Europe and southeast Asia. Camus also served as chief operating officer of SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT affiliate Aguas Argentinas in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and most recently as director of internal auditing for SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT.
United Water, founded in 1869, provides water and wastewater services to more than 7.5 million people in the United States. In addition to owning and operating utilities, United Water operates municipal systems through public-private partnerships and contract agreements.
