WILLIAMSBURG, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Newspaper Association of America has named Kip Cassino, vice president of research for Borrell Associates, as the recipient of its 2008 Research Federation Award of Merit.
The prestigious award is presented each year to a research professional who has made significant and sustaining contributions to media research over time, creates unique solutions to media problems and always looks for new research strategies and stays current with the media industry.
The peer-voted lifetime achievement award will be presented to Cassino at the NAA’s 2008 Marketing Conference in Orlando on Feb. 25.
Cassino states, “I am honored and humbled to receive this award and I thank everyone who helped me along the way to receive it.”
Cassino has worked as a professional researcher for more than three decades. Along with his work in media, his background extends to financial services, automotive market, semiconductors and the computer industry. His research has appeared in American Demographics, Media Week, PressTime and other national publications. He is a past president of the NAA’s Research Federation, the American Marketing Association, the World Future Society and a member of Mensa.
