Since its inception in 1999, the Heinz 57th Wedding Anniversary Bells program has celebrated couples who have been married for 57 years by presenting them with a commemorative porcelain bell adorned with the iconic Heinz 57 Keystone.

The bell presentation honoring the couple will take place at a $5,700-wedding anniversary party in their hometown an opportunity for the husband and wife to renew their wedding vows in front of 57 of their closest family members and friends.

For the past eight years, Heinz has connected with thousands of happily married couples who have celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary, said William R. Johnson, Chairman, President and CEO of H. J. Heinz Company. This program emphasizes loyalty, tradition and commitment, and we are happy to continue it and celebrate the 5,700th couple.

More Than Just 57 Varieties

When Henry J. Heinz coined the legendary slogan 57 Varieties in 1896, after already 27 years in business, Heinzs portfolio of products exceeded more than 57 varieties; however, the tagline quickly became synonymous with the iconic Heinz brand. Today, several thousand Heinz products can be found on grocery store shelves and in restaurants around the globe, with leading brands such as Ore-Ida®, Weight Watchers® Smart Ones®, Bagel Bites® and Plasmon infant nutrition, to name a few.

57 Varieties symbolizes an American icon and tradition. The idea of honoring couples, who have been married for 57 years, was originally suggested by loyal consumers who recalled a similar program where celebrating couples received a gift pack of 57 Heinz products. The program was discontinued as the Heinz product line grew and became difficult to sample.
