PITTSBURGH--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The H. J. Heinz Company (NYSE:HNZ) will help one lucky couple ring in their 57th wedding anniversary with the giveaway of the 5,700th Heinz 57th Wedding Anniversary Bell, which Heinz anticipates issuing later this summer. Since its inception in 1999, the Heinz 57th Wedding Anniversary Bells program has celebrated couples who have been married for 57 years by presenting them with a commemorative porcelain bell adorned with the iconic Heinz 57 Keystone.
Couples who are in their 57th year of marriage need only to send a copy of their marriage certificate and a letter signed by both husband and wife to “Happy 57th Anniversary,” H. J. Heinz Company, P.O. Box 57, Pittsburgh, Pa., 15230-0057.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 1,667,000 couples said their “I Do’s” in 1950.
A Renewed Commitment
Later this summer, Heinz will announce the winning couple and will honor them with a commemorative, custom made bell engraved with the Heinz 57 Keystone, which will be presented by a Heinz senior executive. The bell presentation honoring the couple will take place at a $5,700-wedding anniversary party in their hometown — an opportunity for the husband and wife to renew their wedding vows — in front of 57 of their closest family members and friends.
