Company executives were presented with the award at the annual MassMEDIC Investors Conference, held in Boston on Tuesday, November 1, at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel.
"This award is a testimony to the skill, dedication and many years of hard work by everybody on the NxStage team, as well as our clinical partners," said Jeffrey Burbank, President and Chief Executive Officer of NxStage Medical, Inc. "We are certainly honored by this prestigious recognition from our peers in the medical device industry."
NxStage received expanded Section 510(k) clearance from the FDA in June 2005, to market its System One(TM) portable daily dialysis device for home use. The NxStage System One(TM) is the smallest commercially-available hemodialysis system.
The Massachusetts Medical Device Industry Council (MassMEDIC) was established in 1996 by medical device company executives interested in promoting the unique interests of the Bay State's vibrant medical technology sector. MassMEDIC now has over 300 members - manufacturers, product developers, suppliers, research institutions and academic health centers. We advocate industry positions at the federal and state government levels, and conducts numerous informational seminars, conferences and issue briefings aimed at bringing the region's medical device community the latest and best information on policies and trends impacting the sector.
