WMS Gaming Expands MONOPOLY Licensed Offerings with Next Generation of Games Premiering Across Multiple Product Lines

WAUKEGAN, Ill. & LAS VEGAS--()--Oct. 4, 2004--

Eight New MONOPOLY(R) Licensed Games to be Showcased at G2E Trade Show Including WMS' First Low Denomination Progressive Games

WMS Gaming Inc., a subsidiary of WMS Industries Inc. (NYSE: WMS), announced today that it has further expanded its popular series of gaming devices based on Hasbro Inc.'s (NYSE: HAS) MONOPOLY game brand with the introduction of eight new game themes for its participation and progressive gaming product lines at this week's Global Gaming Expo (G2E) in Las Vegas. The new MONOPOLY titles include extensions to WMS' recently introduced MONOPOLY Money wide-area-progressive (WAP) product line and WMS' first penny denomination progressive product.

At last year's G2E tradeshow, WMS and Hasbro Properties Group announced an extension, through 2011, of the license agreement whereby WMS has exclusive worldwide rights to develop, manufacture and market MONOPOLY branded slot machines. Since the first MONOPOLY products were shipped in 1998, WMS has introduced 15 popular titles. MONOPOLY branded slot machines represent the second largest installed base of participation game series in North American casinos.

"The popularity of the MONOPOLY brand again proved its value when we launched our first wide-area-progressive products earlier this year," said Brian R. Gamache, President and CEO of WMS Industries. "The number of new MONOPOLY titles we are debuting at this year's G2E event reflects our long-term commitment to have this important brand serve as the centerpiece of our growth in participation slot machines. Our game designers have outdone themselves with the creation of entertaining content in new games that slot machine players will find fresh and exciting. Among the new games premiering this week are four exciting new titles for the MONOPOLY Money mechanical reel WAP links and the first penny progressive products from WMS. We are confident that these new games, in addition to our wide range of MONOPOLY licensed offerings, will further extend the strong six year track record we have established for one of the industry's most entertaining and enduring brands."

The new MONOPOLY branded titles that will premier at the fourth annual Global Gaming Expo (G2E) (Las Vegas Convention Center: Booth #4234) in Las Vegas, October 5-7 are:

Mechanical Reel WAP Games

Following the successful launch earlier this year of progressive jackpots for WMS' flagship MONOPOLY Money WAP products in Nevada and Native American casinos, WMS has extended this series with four new mechanical reel games: MONOPOLY Money 5X Railroad(TM) and MONOPOLY Money Fiery Sevens(TM) that both utilize the same top box and bonusing feature of the first MONOPOLY Money games, and two new games under the MONOPOLY Corner the Market(TM) brand that introduce a new top box and bonusing feature. During the bonus round on the MONOPOLY Corner the Market games, players randomly select a corner of the MONOPOLY game board and then roll the dice to move to a property on that side of the game board, resulting in a payout. Rolling doubles awards the player a second roll of the dice. As with the initial MONOPOLY Money WAP games, these new MONOPOLY Money games are available in $0.25 and $1.00 denominations.

New Low Denomination Video WAP and LAP Progressive Games

WMS will unveil its first penny denomination progressive games at G2E. These new five reel video progressive games feature both wide-area and local-area-progressive (WAP/LAP) capabilities. The wide-area-progressive link will be to WMS' existing MONOPOLY Money progressive jackpot while the local-area progressive link will link games within the same casino. The local-area progressive link uniquely awards players by their selections during the bonus game. In the MONOPOLY Own it All(TM) themed game, players start on one side of the game board and try to select all of the color group properties before moving to the next side of the MONOPOLY board. The MONOPOLY All in the Cards(TM) themed game features MR. MONOPOLY(TM) and his dog. During one of three bonus rounds, players collect cards as they play up to ten free spins with every card revealing a prize amount. If a multiplier is revealed, MR. MONOPOLY's dog catches it and multiplies one of the player's prizes.

New Multi-Line, Multi-Coin Non-Linked Video Participation Products

In June, WMS launched its first multi-line, multi-coin MONOPOLY themed participation game, Once Around Deluxe(R), designed on the CPU-NXT(TM) operating system in the Bluebird(R) cabinet to tremendous initial acceptance. At G2E, WMS will showcase its two newest multi-line, multi-coin CPU-NXT-based MONOPOLY participation games, MONOPOLY Cash Flow(TM) and MONOPOLY Reel Riches(TM). In the MONOPOLY Cash Flow bonus round, players are awarded free spins during which they accumulate as many properties as possible to maximize their bonus winnings. In the MONOPOLY Reel Riches bonus round, players roll the dice to advance MR. MONOPOLY around the game board to collect winnings by building houses and hotels as he advances.

Gamache concluded, "We are very excited by the depth of new MONOPOLY themed games we have developed and expect that all of these new games will help to strengthen what is already one of the gaming industry's most popular series of titles."
