Cirrus Logic Expands Flagship Audio Converter Portfolio with Nine New High‑Performance Audio Devices for Professional and Prosumer Markets

Optimized for a Wider Range of Mid‑Tier and Professional Applications, including Musical Instruments

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cirrus Logic (NASDAQ: CRUS) today introduced a new family of nine audio converters designed to deliver stellar performance and new features at an optimized price-to-performance ratio. This new offering includes analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), digital-to-analog converters (DACs) and CODECs built to support a broad range of prosumer and professional audio applications, from musical instruments and podcast interfaces to active speakers, mixing consoles, and installed audio systems. Cirrus Logic’s new converters complement the previously released family to give design engineers a well-rounded audio converter portfolio with options to meet the needs of any of these applications.

Drawing on multiple industry reports, the global professional and prosumer audio market is estimated at ~$9B today and growing with creators, podcasters, musicians, and AV integrators looking for premium sound without the premium price point. Cirrus Logic is enabling that shift with these new converters, expanding high-performance audio technology to a greater assortment of mid-tier products which span the full spectrum of prosumer audio applications. This empowers customers to scale performance and features across diverse product lines of mixers, audio interfaces, speakers, amplifiers, microphones, installed AV, and studio equipment.

“Audio quality has become a major differentiator with audio designers under increasing pressure to deliver premium sound quality without increasing system costs,” said Jonathan Taylor, Product Marketing Manager, Prosumer Audio, Cirrus Logic. “Cirrus Logic’s new converters bring outstanding performance and advanced functionality to a wider range of price-sensitive products. This gives our customers greater flexibility to build differentiated audio solutions across their portfolios and meet the needs of a broader audience.”

Designed for Performance, Simplicity and Flexibility

The new converters include enhanced analog capabilities and simplified system design with hybrid gain control from previously released flagship audio converters. These features improve input-referred noise as gain increases, helping designers achieve better audio performance without adding system complexity. The portfolio also introduces hybrid gain control for DACs and a new voltage output driver, providing additional flexibility for a wide range of audio applications.

These features support consistent performance across applications including:

  • Mixing consoles, I/O racks, and stage boxes
  • Active speakers, stage monitors, and installed AV systems
  • Audio interfaces, podcast equipment, and multi-channel studio solutions
  • Musical instruments such as synthesizers, guitar processors, and electronic pianos
  • High-performance playback systems including amplifiers, AVRs, and powered speakers

Enabling Scalable Audio Product Design

Along with the previously released CS430xx and CS530xx high-performance converter families, the new devices enable manufacturers to scale high-performance audio across multiple product tiers. These converters deliver strong performance while maintaining a cost-optimized design, helping customers extend advanced audio capabilities across broader product portfolios.
