Zinnia Launches Advanced Digital In-Force Servicing Experience for Annuities
New capability removes forms from annuity servicing and gives carriers, distributors, advisors, and consumers a connected digital way to manage post-issue transactions
GREENWICH, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Zinnia, a leading life and annuity technology company, today announced the launch of a fully digitized in-force annuity servicing capability, giving the industry a modern way to manage post-issue transactions without forms, fragmented workflows, or disconnected servicing processes.
Built within Zinnia Live, the new capability enables carriers, distributors, advisors, and consumers to manage annuity servicing through a single digital experience. Instead of relying on paper forms, PDFs, wet signatures, manual validation, and carrier-specific portals, users can initiate, review, complete, and track servicing transactions through a connected workflow designed to support the full, end-to-end flow of annuity servicing.
The launch addresses a long-standing gap in the industry. While annuity sales have become increasingly digital, in-force servicing remains largely paper-based, creating delays, errors, and limited visibility across the value chain.
“Annuity servicing has been one of the last major analog frontiers in the life and annuity industry,” said George Esposito, CEO of Zinnia. “We have changed that. In-force servicing is where the promise made at the point of sale gets tested, and too often, that experience falls short. Zinnia has built a fully digital way to manage in-force annuity contracts end to end, removing the forms and friction that have slowed the industry down for decades.”
For carriers, in-force servicing often means constant follow-ups, incomplete transactions, and work that has to be redone multiple times before it can be processed, making it time-consuming, frustrating, and difficult to manage at scale. This approach changes that by ensuring transactions come through complete, consistent, and ready to process from the start. For distributors and advisors, it creates a single place to manage servicing across carriers, eliminating the need to navigate multiple carriers. For consumers, it provides a clearer, faster way to complete transactions without delays or back-and-forth.
Zinnia’s digital servicing supports a broad range of post-issue transactions, starting with high-volume needs such as withdrawals. By bringing all participants into a single workflow, it accelerates processing, improves submission accuracy, and increases transparency into status and next steps. Transaction processing can now happen exponentially faster and in real time.
The launch is powered by Zinnia’s broader platform strategy, including Zinnia Live, a fully digital servicing experience that connects carriers, distributors, and customers in one ecosystem. Earlier this month, the Insured Retirement Institute approved four in-force transaction APIs built on Zinnia’s Enterprise API framework. These APIs establish a foundation for real-time, interoperable servicing across carriers and distributors.
“Digitizing servicing is not just about putting a form online,” said Michael Celi, Chief Product Officer at Zinnia. “It’s about bringing data, workflows, and systems into one connected experience. That is what Zinnia has built, so annuity servicing operates with speed, visibility, and confidence that advisors and consumers already expect.”
The new capability reinforces Zinnia’s role as the infrastructure for the life and annuity industry by connecting distribution, policy administration, servicing, and APIs to support the full annuity lifecycle. It brings a more connected, transparent, and digital future for annuity servicing, one built around the needs of carriers, advisors, and the consumers they serve.
