DG Matrix’s Interport platform was designed to take full advantage of the performance envelope that silicon carbide enables. Infineon’s latest-generation SiC MOSFETs are integrated into DG Matrix’s low-voltage and medium-voltage platforms, supporting platform efficiencies of up to 98.5% and delivering the power density required by AI data centers, microgrids, and fleet-charging deployments. Infineon’s SiC technology is a key enabler of DG Matrix’s single-stage, multi-port power conversion architecture, which eliminates complex, multi-stage conversion topologies to reduce both footprint and energy losses at scale.

Infineon is a global leader in power semiconductors, with one of the industry’s most advanced portfolios of SiC MOSFETs and modules. The company’s SiC devices are deployed across automotive, industrial, renewable energy, and data infrastructure markets worldwide, making Infineon a proven partner for power electronics designers demanding the highest levels of efficiency and long-term reliability.

“AI data centers and next-generation electrification systems demand higher efficiency, higher power density, and uncompromising reliability. DG Matrix’s multi-port solid-state transformer architecture represents an innovative approach to power conversion. We are pleased to support DG Matrix with our latest-generation silicon carbide technology to help enable scalable, high-performance power infrastructure,” Andreas Weisl, Executive Vice President & Chief Sales Officer of Industrial and Infrastructure at Infineon, said.

The commercial relationship builds on decades of collaboration between DG Matrix’s co-founders and Infineon’s engineering and product teams, deepening as the company progressed from prototype to the commercial launch of its 200 kW and 400 kW Interport units. Now there’s a clear pathway to multi-megawatt medium voltage solid-state transformers to enable gigawatt-scale data center deployments with hyperscalers and neoclouds. Infineon’s SiC devices have been integral to DG Matrix’s performance validation at each stage of that journey.

“Our multi-port architecture was designed to take full advantage of the performance envelope that silicon carbide enables. Infineon’s latest-generation SiC devices strengthen our supply chain and enhance the efficiency, power density, and reliability of our Interport platforms. This collaboration supports our mission to deploy faster, more efficient power infrastructure for AI data centers and electrification worldwide,” Haroon Inam, CEO & co-founder of DG Matrix, said. Both Haroon and DG Matrix’s co-founder Dr. Subhashish Bhattacharya have extensive experience working with large German multinational companies.

Looking ahead, both companies expect continued alignment on next-generation SiC device roadmaps as DG Matrix scales toward higher-voltage platforms and higher-volume production. The integration of Infineon’s SiC technology across DG Matrix’s expanding Interport product family supports both companies' mission to accelerate the global deployment of scalable, resilient and efficient power infrastructure for AI data centers, utility microgrids, and electrification applications.
