BerryDunn Earns NCQA Certification with Top Scores for the 3rd Survey in a Row

The certification reinforces BerryDunn’s leadership in credentialing and enrollment services for healthcare organizations.

PORTLAND, Maine--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BerryDunn, a full-service accounting, tax, and consulting firm, has earned Credentialing (CR) Certification from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) for all verification services. The NCQA Credentialing Certification affirms BerryDunn’s ability to support healthcare organizations with trusted, compliant credentialing services that reduce administrative burdens and protect patients, providers, and payers.

The NCQA Credentialing Certification is a quality assessment program that healthcare organizations can use to evaluate firms like BerryDunn who verify the credentials of licensed healthcare practitioners. It includes exacting on-site evaluations by a team of healthcare professionals and certified specialists, whose findings are analyzed by a national oversight committee of physicians. Certification is awarded to participating organizations on the basis of 11 individual credentials elements, including board certification status, state licensing board sanctions, and Medicare/Medicaid sanctions, among others. BerryDunn met NCQA’s standards for all possible elements and has successfully maintained certification for a decade.

“Earning NCQA Credentialing Certification across all 11 elements means our processes have been independently validated against the most rigorous standards in the industry,” said Gretchen Carletta, Credentialing Manager in the firm’s Healthcare Practice Group. “Our clients can be confident that every verification meets strict compliance and regulatory requirements.”

“We pride ourselves on building close, strategic partnerships with healthcare organizations,” said Christa Bernacchia, Principal in BerryDunn’s Healthcare Practice Group. “For clients navigating complex compliance requirements, having a fully NCQA-certified firm in their corner makes a real difference. Our credentialing professionals offer a highly customized experience, enabling organizations and their providers to focus on delivering care, knowing their credentialing process is in the hands of subject matter experts.”

In addition to credentialing services, BerryDunn provides a broad array of enrollment, payer contracting strategy, and consulting services to support healthcare organizations across the continuum of care, including medical practices, community and rural health centers, home health and hospice, hospitals and health systems, long-term care and senior living facilities, and other healthcare providers. Clients rely on BerryDunn for exceptional financial, health IT, revenue cycle, and operational and compliance consulting, tailored to each client’s unique needs and regulatory requirements.
