The three-year partnership reflects a shared belief that strong communities are built through both homes and culture.
For more than 20 years, Epic Homes has helped shape Maple Ridge by building homes for local families. Through EpicCares, the company extends that commitment beyond housing - supporting the people, programs, and places that make the city a vibrant place to live.
“Epic builds homes, and Arts On builds community culture,” said Epic Homes President Cole Lambert. “Both play a critical role in creating a city where people feel connected, inspired, and proud to call home.”
A Cultural Anchor, Evolving for the Community
Arts On continues a 50+-year legacy of a strong non-profit cornerstone of arts and culture in Maple Ridge. Under its new name and governance, Arts On is entering an exciting new chapter focused on expanded access, education, and community engagement.
Over the past three years, Epic Homes’ title sponsorship has helped support performances and programs that bring residents together and strengthen the cultural fabric of Maple Ridge.
“Support from Epic Homes has played an important role in allowing us to grow our reach and deepen our impact,” said Curtis Pendleton, Artistic and Executive Director for the Arts Council. “As Arts On continues to evolve, we’re excited about what this next chapter means for our community.”
Expanding Arts Education Through SD42
Arts On has recently expanded its partnership with School District 42, delivering high-quality arts education through extracurricular and in-class programming, as well as art-focused day camps during Pro-D Days and school breaks. New initiatives include Pro-D Day activities for students and new spring and summer camps offered at SD42 locations throughout the Ridge Meadows school district.
“Through this expanded partnership, we are excited to provide a direct pipeline of arts experiences to approximately 17,000 households with school-aged children in our community,” Pendleton added. “We are grateful for the support from Epic Homes, which allows us to deliver this and other programs for the community.”
Supporting the Aspirations of Youth
In addition to expanded programming, the Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows Arts Council is now accepting applications for its annual Excellence in Arts Awards. These merit-based scholarships support the artistic achievements, aspirations, and professional development of graduating high school seniors who have demonstrated exemplary achievement in the arts.
Scholarships provide a minimum of $1,500 per student toward tuition and fees at an accredited post-secondary university or college. Grade 12 students who live in or attend school in Maple Ridge or Pitt Meadows and plan to pursue post-secondary studies are eligible to apply. Last year, a total of $16,500 was awarded to deserving students.
EpicCares: Building More Than Homes
The Arts On sponsorship reflects the broader mission of EpicCares, Epic Homes’ commitment to giving back to the community that has supported the company for more than two decades.
“Great communities need more than housing,” Epic Homes President Cole Lambert added. “They need places where people can gather, create, and be inspired. Supporting Arts On through EpicCares has been an honor, and we’re proud of the role this partnership has played in strengthening community life in Maple Ridge.”
As Epic Homes concludes its title sponsorship, the company looks forward to continuing to support initiatives that enrich culture, education, and connection - helping make Maple Ridge an even better place to call home.
