New Research Shows Significant Student Achievement Gains in Schools Using Accelerate Learning’s STEM Education Solutions
HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Accelerate Learning has released a 2025 Impact and Research Report, revealing significant student achievement gains and enhanced educator effectiveness in schools using its STEM curriculum and professional learning solutions.
The new report summarizes research activities — including efficacy studies and product studies — in schools across the country and abroad. The study results demonstrate measurable growth and achievement gains in math and science, from preschool through high school. In addition, customer surveys indicate strong satisfaction among educators.
Key findings include:
-
Math Nation drives higher Algebra 1 achievement. In Florida schools using Math Nation, 25% of students reached the highest proficiency level (Level 5) on the state Algebra 1 End-of-Course (EOC) exam, compared to only 17% in schools using other programs. Each additional year of Math Nation use led to more students achieving Levels 4 and 5, and to higher overall scale scores.
-
STEMscopes Math produces gains in elementary math and Algebra 1. Texas fourth graders in schools using STEMscopes Math had higher STAAR benchmarks than comparison schools in all positive categories (Approaches, Meets, and Masters). STAAR scale scores were also 6.49 points higher, and scores increased with each additional year of use.
At the secondary level, Texas students in STEMscopes Math schools had higher benchmarks in all positive categories on the Algebra 1 EOC test, with average scale scores 34 points higher than comparison schools.
-
STEMscopes Science boosts science achievement. In Texas, fifth graders using STEMscopes Science outscored their peers by 94 points on the STAAR. In addition, high school biology students achieved significantly higher STAAR EOC benchmarks in the Meets and Masters categories, with average scale scores 22 points above comparison schools.
In Alabama, STEMscopes Science schools had higher fourth grade proficiency rates than non-STEMscopes schools on the Science ACAP (Alabama Comprehensive Assessment Program), with positive results across student subgroups.
-
Kide Science builds strong academic foundations. Georgia kindergarteners who received Kide Science instruction demonstrated greater stability in math and literacy performance and improved comprehension skills compared to peers.
- Educators highly rate STEM certifications from the National Institute for STEM Education. In 2025, more than 1,000 educators earned the National Certificate for STEM Teaching (NCST), and 17 schools and one district completed the National Certificate for STEM Excellence (NCSE). Participants reported high satisfaction levels: 95% of NCST graduates would recommend the program to colleagues, and 100% of NCSE survey respondents would recommend the process to other campuses.
