Essential Utilities Elevates Alexis Rodriguez to Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development

Rodriguez assumes his new role after five years with the company; Will continue to serve as Chief of Staff

BRYN MAWR, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Essential Utilities Inc. (NYSE: WTRG) announced today it named Alexis Rodriguez as Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development. Rodriguez has been with Essential for five years. He joined the company in 2020 as manager in the Strategy and Corporate Development team.

In his new role, Rodriguez will lead the execution of Essential’s strategic initiatives, as well as the execution of Aqua’s growth opportunities. For this new role, he will report to Aqua President Colleen Arnold.

“Alexis has been an important part of this company for years, and we’re excited to see him excel in his new role,” said Arnold. “His experience and internal knowledge will be critical in supporting our growth as a company.”

Rodriguez will also continue to serve as Chief of Staff, to Chairman and CEO Christopher Franklin.

Prior to his time at Essential, Rodriguez spent over four years in investment banking at Credit Suisse and nine years as an electrical engineer at Siemens Energy. Rodriguez received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida and a Master of Business Administration from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
