The Look Company Achieves Unprecedented 8-Color Printing for Large-Scale Stadium and Retail Fabric Graphics
The Visual Branding Company Redefines Printing Standards with New 8-Color, 600 DPI Resolution Fabric Graphics That Exceed the Industry Standard of 4-Color 300 DPI Resolution
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Look Company, creators of large-scale visual branding for retail, sport and event environments, is redefining fabric printing capabilities with the introduction of eight-color graphics previously not available in the industry. For sports teams, stadiums, chain stores and big-box retailers this will mean the ability to achieve graphics and visual displays with an unprecedented range of colors, including notoriously challenging colors, such as “Reflex Blue.”
The company’s investment in advanced printing practices will be put to immediate use on major projects, including graphics for the world's largest soccer tournament and the 2026 NHL Stadium Series, as well as for global retailers like Walmart. The resulting graphics will be printed at twice the color gamut achieved by standard industry printing, while decreasing printing times and increasing energy efficiency.
Currently, the global printing industry produces graphics using the four-color CMYK model, printed at a standard resolution of 300 DPI (dots-per-inch). These limitations, however, prevent brands and organizations around the world from accurately achieving newer, more complex color shades and more sophisticated brand guidelines. By contrast, The Look Company’s new printing capabilities make an eight-color palette and 600 DPI resolution the new standard for its clients.
The Look Company’s new printing capabilities will also improve its offerings in the following ways:
- Faster printing of fabric graphics: Through a mix of skilled expertise, a new color correction process and raw material upgrades, The Look Company can now produce even higher quality graphics, faster.
- Reduced energy consumption: The faster and more streamlined production process requires less energy to arrive at the final product, as well as reduces unnecessary material waste.
- Centralized production across multiple locations for consistency: This upgrade in print quality and consistency has been executed through all six of The Look Company’s global factories, including three facilities in North America.
“We’ve built our company into a global brand by constantly innovating at the speed of technology and going beyond the industry to adopt the best production practices available,” said Jacob Burke, Global CEO of The Look Company. “Our sense is that there’s no reason that the large-scale graphics you see on game day or while shopping in-store should be lower quality based on existing industry standards. We believe that our commitment to redefining what our clients can expect will create a new standard of efficiency and design for the printing industry as a whole, all while supporting our commitment to sustainability and reduced environmental impact around the world.”
All of these upgrades enable The Look Company to build on the high technical accuracy it’s known for and distinguish itself in an increasingly visual world.
