Waites Launches Ultra-Rugged PiezoNode for Predictive Monitoring in the Harshest Industrial Environments

Engineered for uptime in marine, power, and heavy industry, the PiezoNode delivers continuous monitoring of critical assets even in extreme heat, high pressure and other harsh environments

CINCINNATI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Waites Sensor Technologies, Inc. (Waites), the leader in AI-driven predictive maintenance solutions, announces the launch of PiezoNode™, an advanced quad-channel condition monitoring device built for high-heat, high-stress rotating equipment such as turbines, generators, compressors, motors, and other critical machinery commonly found in heavy industrial operations.

PiezoNode extends condition monitoring into environments where traditional wireless sensors cannot survive. By connecting directly to piezoelectric sensors using the industry-standard IEPE interface, PiezoNode eliminates manual data collection and continuously streams machine-health data into the Waites system, bringing previously offline or siloed assets into a modern PdM workflow powered by AI and supported by certified vibration analysts.

“The PiezoNode is the next innovation in a long line of Waites predictive monitoring tools,” said Eric Ibarra, Chief Technology Officer at Waites. “For years, operators have struggled to monitor high-heat, high-stress rotating assets using manual checks and limited tools that offer little real-time insight. PiezoNode directly addresses this problem by enabling continuous monitoring in locations and on equipment that have traditionally been too hot, too tight, or too hazardous for conventional sensors.”

To help close these visibility gaps, PiezoNode delivers:

  • Real-time visibility for high-heat and high-value rotating assets, rated for 480°F+ applications, with higher-temperature options available upon request
  • Reliable monitoring in tight, hot, or otherwise harsh environments
  • Safe installation for equipment inside restricted or harsh areas
  • Centralized high-heat data unified inside the Waites monitoring platform
  • White-label hardware options available for distributors

"At Waites, we’re creating a world where nothing breaks,” said Rob Ratterman, co-founder and CEO of Waites. “The PiezoNode is supporting that mission by monitoring equipment in even the harshest environments. This solution keeps maintenance teams out of extreme heat or traditionally unsafe environments while delivering the continual analytics they need to help ensure equipment is running smoothly."
