Located at CityScape, steps from the new Valley Metro South Central Light Rail Extension and the Phoenix Police Department headquarters, the DTPHX Community Resource Hub will serve as a central access point for information, assistance and community collaboration.
A Collaborative Approach to Urban Support
“The DTPHX Community Resource Hub is about creating meaningful connections and coordinated responses to the needs of our growing community,” said Devney Majerle, President and CEO of Downtown Phoenix Inc. “By uniting public and private partners under one roof, we’re making it easier for people to access the services, information and support they need to thrive in downtown Phoenix.”
“This Hub demonstrates how Phoenix continues to innovate to meet the needs of a growing city. By coordinating services in one central location, we are improving access, enhancing safety, and supporting our residents, workers, and visitors with thoughtful, people-focused solutions,” Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego said.
Mike Ebert, Managing Partner at RED Development, said, “This partnership embodies our shared vision of a vibrant, inclusive and connected downtown. It’s about strengthening the human and economic fabric that makes Phoenix such a dynamic place to live, work and visit.”
Valley Metro CEO Jessica Mefford-Miller added, “This space provides a welcoming environment where riders can receive personalized assistance from navigating our expanding rail system to managing fares ensuring every traveler has the resources they need to move confidently through the city.”
Services and Partners at the Hub
The DTPHX Community Resource Hub brings together multiple partners and programs, offering on-site access to:
- Behavioral health and crisis response — dēhp Integrative Care’s Outreach Navigators provide counseling, transportation and connections to shelters and essential services for individuals experiencing homelessness.
- Crisis intervention support — The City of Phoenix’s Community Assistance Program (CAP) team collaborates with dēhp Outreach Navigators to provide on-scene behavioral health assistance.
- Transit and mobility information — Valley Metro offers trip planning, fare management, and Copper Card balance checks, helping riders easily load funds or confirm available fare credit with assistance from Downtown Phoenix Ambassadors.
- Workforce development for youth with disabilities — Upward and Onward connects graduating high school seniors from the Phoenix Union High School District with local businesses for inclusive employment opportunities.
- Community hospitality and safety — The Downtown Phoenix Ambassadors and Clean + Green Team are enhanced municipal services provided by Downtown Phoenix Inc. They work together to keep the Downtown Core safe, clean, and welcoming.
Part of a Broader Vision for Downtown Growth
The opening of the DTPHX Community Resource Hub builds upon DPI’s partnership with the City of Phoenix Office of Homeless Solutions and expands ongoing efforts such as We’re in This Together, a comprehensive resource guide that consolidates dozens of service providers, nonprofits and crisis hotlines into one accessible directory. As Phoenix experiences record growth and major infrastructure investment including the new Valley Metro Light Rail expansion, Phoenix Police headquarters, and continued downtown revitalization — the Hub represents a model for how cities can combine compassion and innovation to support thriving urban communities.
