AdvoCare® Foundation Celebrates Ten Years of Making a Difference

More than $2.3 million granted to nonprofits across the U.S. with a focus on healthy living initiatives

RICHARDSON, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The AdvoCare Foundation, a nonprofit organization committed to helping children and families in need to live healthy, happy, and safe lives is celebrating its first decade of giving.

“Our overarching goal at the AdvoCare Foundation is to bring the founding family’s vision to life by empowering organizations across the country to fulfill their individual missions. We are so proud of our grantees programs and efforts to changes the lives of those they serve through their focus on health and wellness,” said Whitney Strauss, Executive Director of the AdvoCare Foundation.

Founded in 2015, the AdvoCare Foundation has generously contributed more than $2.3 million to improving the safety and health of families and children throughout the United States. AdvoCare and its Distributors have played a vital role in establishing and strengthening the Foundation, ensuring that opportunities for health and wellness reach the most vulnerable communities across the country.

This past year the AdvoCare Foundation provided $330,000 in grants to 15 organizations, including the Boys & Girls Club of Dallas and the Iowa Healthiest State Initiative.

Jami Haberl, Executive Director of Iowa Healthiest State Initiative, shared in a thank you video that funds from the AdvoCare Foundation helped create the nationally recognized program “5210 Healthy Choices Count.” The numbers 5-2-1-0 stand for five servings of healthy fruits or vegetables, two hours or less of recreational screen time, one hour of physical activity and zero sugary drinks each day. It’s a fun and catchy reminder for kids and parents alike.

The AdvoCare Foundation visits its grantees throughout the year to advance its mission and educate children and families about developing healthy lifestyles.
