Purdys Chocolatier's 'Dear Santa Bar' Returns for Seventh Year, Surpassing $1 Million in Donations for Children's Hospital Partners

Funding critical care for Canadian children’s hospitals, Purdys Chocolatier’s Dear Santa Bar initiative has contributed $1.4 million to date.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Purdys Chocolatier is kicking off the holiday season with the launch of its seventh annual Dear Santa Bar, an initiative that has raised $1.4 million for children’s hospitals across Canada since 2019. The chocolate bar that gives back is now available in Purdys' shops and online, inviting Canadians to help fund critical care and essential support for children and their families during the holidays.

For every bar sold, $2 will be donated to partnering children's hospital foundations, funding vital care and essential support to children and their families in need during the holiday season. The Dear Santa Bar is a creamy milk chocolate bar filled with crunchy salted toffee bits, making it the perfect blend of holiday indulgence and giving back.

Purdys Chocolatier created this special bar after learning that the biggest worry for children in hospitals during the holidays was that Santa wouldn’t be able to find them. This simple response to a child's fear grew into one of Purdys Chocolatier's longest-running and most beloved charitable initiatives.

“Partnerships like this are essential to SickKids—not only for raising funds but also for building awareness and engaging the community in support of children’s health. We are so grateful for the continued support of Purdys Chocolatier, whose annual Dear Santa campaign has become something we look forward to every year.” - Stacey Robinson, Director of Corporate Partnerships and Activation at SickKids Foundation

Help make this the most successful Dear Santa year yet and support Canadian children’s hospitals by picking up a Dear Santa Bar for yourself or as a gift. The bar is available now in all Purdys Chocolatier shops and online at https://www.purdys.com/dear-santa

Your purchase directly contributes to vital care for children at partnering hospitals.
