Shegerian presented his unique, multimedia presentation titled “The Sustainability Revolution: How to Make a Good Living and Also Make a Great Impact” to the University’s Corporate Sustainability class and two Oil and Gas Accounting and Sustainability classes, all taught by University of Texas Corporate Sustainability and Oil and Gas Accounting and Sustainability lecturer Paul Parsons, who had invited Shegerian to speak.

Shegerian, who also hosts the Webby Award-winning Impact Podcast with John Shegerian, engaged in a spirited question and answer sessions with each class. The students had viewed and analyzed episodes of Shegerian’s podcast in the past as part of the course curriculum.

“It was extremely generous of John to come to our campus to speak to the students in my sustainability-related business classes,” said Parsons. “For three hour-and-a-half sessions in a row, John shared his knowledge and experience on sustainability matters, sustainability-related entrepreneurship, and his personal business journey. His content and style really connected with the students and the feedback has been outstanding. I give my thanks to John for helping educate and energize the next generation of sustainability-minded professionals.”

“It was an honor and a privilege to have been asked by Paul to share information about the critical need for sustainability and the circular economy in businesses with these three classrooms filled with future business and accounting leaders,” said Shegerian. “I was so impressed by the engagement and insightful questions and comments from these bright and hard-working students and their passion for knowledge and sustainability best practices. The future is indeed bright.”
