Mary-Olga ‘Mo’ Lovett Recognized in Inaugural Legal 500 US Elite Guide

Firm founder ranked for commercial disputes in the Houston area

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mo Lovett Law founder Mary-Olga “Mo” Lovett has been named to the inaugural Legal 500 US Elite guide, receiving Tier 1 honors, the highest ranking, for her work in commercial disputes in the Houston area.

Legal 500, which describes itself as one of the world’s first legal ratings services, developed its US Elite lists to recognize exceptional attorneys at small to midsize firms doing market-leading work. The company this year is ranking lawyers in Houston, Dallas and Austin based on staff research, client and peer feedback and interviews with practitioners.

In her decades-long career, Ms. Lovett has tried more than 50 jury cases to verdict, with more than $100 billion combined at stake. She handles cases involving complex legal issues, including patent infringement, trademark infringement, theft of trade secrets, commercial disputes, class actions, employment litigation, and product liability matters.

In January, Ms. Lovett left the global law firm King & Spalding to open Mo Lovett Law.

“Being recognized by Legal 500 is such an honor,” said Ms. Lovett. “When I started this firm 11 months ago, my goal was to become a leader in an already competitive legal industry. I appreciate that our commitment to excellence has been highlighted in this way.”

Ms. Lovett recently received the Texas Legal Awards’ Lifetime Achievement award and a second Lifetime Achievement honor at the ALM | Law.com’s 2025 Women, Influence & Power in Law Awards. She has also earned recognition this year from the prestigious Chambers USA, The Best Lawyers in America, Texas Super Lawyers, and was named to the Lawdragon 500 Leading Litigators in America and Lawdragon 500 Global IP Lawyers guide.
