PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dorsey & Whitney LLP continues to expand its Phoenix office with the addition of Commercial Litigation Partner Robert (Bob) Henry, the international law firm announced today.

An accomplished trial attorney with deep expertise in real estate disputes, Bob brings extensive experience in disputes involving real estate use and ownership, including matters involving development agreements, landlord-tenant relationships, purchase and sale agreements, tenancy-in-common issues, real estate financing, foreclosures, property management, option contracts, adverse possession, receiverships, and eminent domain/condemnation. He also handles a wide array of complex commercial and civil matters, including contract disputes, partnerships, and constitutional issues – from the trial court through appeal when necessary. In addition, Bob serves as a mediator, arbitrator, and discovery master in alternative dispute resolution proceedings.

Bob has represented clients ranging from multinational real estate developers to municipalities, property owners, water districts, and national law firms. He has helped to secure key victories in high-stakes real estate, water rights, and constitutional cases before Arizona’s and the United States’ appellate courts, including the United States Supreme Court, and has achieved favorable results in multimillion-dollar trials and arbitration proceedings.

Bob earned his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and his B.A. from the University of Michigan College of Literature, Science, and the Arts.

“Bob is among the most accomplished and sought-after trial lawyers in the West, and his arrival builds on the significant growth and success of Dorsey’s trial practice,” said Scott Jenkins, Dorsey’s Phoenix Office Chair. “Whether it’s Rob Kort, Nicole Stanton, Andy Stone, Seth Goertz, Greg Collins, Gabe Hartsell, or Isaac Gabriel, we’ve been intentional about building the best team of commercial litigators in town — and Bob makes that team even stronger.”

“This is an exciting time to join Dorsey, which has built an incredibly strong Phoenix litigation practice with a deep bench of talented trial lawyers backed by a strong international firm with expertise in everything needed to assist sophisticated clients,” said Bob Henry. “I look forward to working with my new colleagues to build on the continued success of the Firm’s Trial group, and the Firm overall.”
