Eli Roth Presents DREAM EATER In Theaters Now It Won’t Let You Sleep

The year’s most terrifying found-footage horror film has arrived

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The nightmare has begun. DREAM EATER, the terrifying new found-footage horror film from Eli Roth’s The Horror Section and Blind Luck Pictures, is now haunting theaters nationwide. Audiences can experience the year’s most chilling horror event exclusively on the big screen—get tickets now at fandango.com, amctheatres.com, dreameatermovie.com.

Hailed as “the kind of scary that horror lovers’ dreams—or rather, nightmares—are made of” by MovieJawn, Rachel Shatto and praised by Luna Guthrie at Collider, who noted "The found footage setup plants us right in the middle of this terrible wasteland, and with the help of Alex Lee Williams' fantastic performance, it delivers on the terror." DREAM EATER is a found footage film, blending raw documentary-style realism with relentless tension, drawing comparisons to The Blair Witch Project and Paranormal Activity. A filmmaker documents her boyfriend’s violent parasomnia during their holiday at a remote cabin in the woods, and as his sleepwalking gets worse, she believes the cause might be something far more sinister.

"Few films have scared me in recent years like DREAM EATER did. I vividly remember watching Blair Witch and Paranormal Activity for the first time and I had the same experience here. So much so, I knew I had to release DREAM EATER in theaters. There’s nothing better than seeing a truly terrifying horror film on the big screen in October. Horror fans are adrenaline junkies and you cannot get that same rush on a small screen, you can only experience that heart racing terror on the big screen with a screaming crowd. I haven’t seen anything scarier in a long time than the last 15 minutes of DREAM EATER. I think it’s the most heart racing, scariest film of 2025. Films like this do not come along very often, don’t miss it on the big screen,” said Eli Roth, Founder & Chief Creative Officer of The Horror Section.

DREAM EATER is the second feature from filmmakers Jay Drakulic, Mallory Drumm, and Alex Lee Williams under their Blind Luck Pictures banner. What begins as a disturbing portrait of a sleep disorder spirals into a chilling descent into madness and horror, one that will leave audiences questioning who they’re really sleeping next to at night. The film has already earned accolades including Best Feature at the H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival and a standout screening at Beyond Fest 2025, where it drew critical acclaim and played to sold-out audiences.

“We are beyond grateful to Eli Roth and the incredible team at The Horror Section for bringing DREAM EATER to audiences the way it was meant to be experienced - in a darkened theatre, where every sight and sound heightens your sense of dread until the film’s final, haunting frames that will leave you questioning what truly lurks in the shadows of your own nightmares,” said Alex Lee Williams, Jay Drakulic, and Mallory Drumm, creators of Blind Luck Pictures.

Adding to the film’s visceral power, Eli Roth’s The Horror Section, in partnership with Terror Vision, proudly presents DREAM EATER: The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. Featuring a haunting and immersive score by Toronto-based composer Julian Stirpe, the album captures the film’s escalating dread and emotional dissonance through a rich, analog soundscape. The soundtrack also includes the unforgettable Filthy Billy Myers vinyl hit “Stop Me.”
