Carvana Expands Same-Day Delivery to San Diego

Local car buyers and sellers now have access to faster, more convenient service

SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Carvana (NYSE: CVNA), an industry pioneer for buying and selling used cars online, today announced the launch of same-day vehicle delivery in the greater San Diego area. Select local customers can now take delivery of their newly purchased vehicle the same day they place an order on Carvana.com. San Diego customers looking to sell a car can also take advantage of as-soon-as same-day pickup or drop-off options after completing Carvana’s online appraisal process.

“It was almost too easy! I’ve told everyone I know about Carvana,” said Tara W., a Carvana customer in Southern California. “Just be ready… because it feels like all you do is click a few buttons and a car shows up in your driveway.”

Carvana’s intuitive e-commerce platform allows customers to shop one of the nation’s largest selections of high-quality pre-owned vehicles, secure financing, trade in their current car, and complete their purchase entirely online. After purchasing an eligible vehicle online, local buyers now have the opportunity to take delivery of their vehicle as soon as the same day. This experience is powered by Carvana’s e-commerce platform, first-party logistics fleet, and regional Inspection and Reconditioning Centers (IRCs).

“We’ve already introduced thousands of San Diego customers to a new way to buy or sell a car, and with this launch, we’re proud to make the Carvana experience even faster and more convenient,” said Jacqueline Hearns, Carvana’s senior director of market operations and expansion. “Our powerful e-commerce platform and deep local infrastructure let us now offer San Diego-area buyers the opportunity to go from online checkout to driveway delivery in a matter of hours.”

Originally launched in Arizona, Carvana’s same-day delivery offering has expanded rapidly to new customers and geographies. Today, it is available in select markets across more than 20 states, and Carvana plans to continue expanding the same-day service across its network in the coming months.
