$30K Grant from FHLB Dallas and Centinel Bank of Taos Expands Arts Internship Program for Youth in Taos County, New Mexico

Funds Will Support Education Manager Role at Taos Center for the Arts

TAOS, N.M.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--A $30,000 grant from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) and Centinel Bank of Taos will help expand a growing youth internship program at the Taos Center for the Arts (TCA)—providing more young people in Taos County, New Mexico, with paid, hands-on experience in the creative economy.

The grant will support the hiring of an education manager to expand TCA’s Inter-Arts Internship Program, which provides paid, work-based learning opportunities for youth in Taos County, New Mexico. The education manager will focus on expanding the number of youth participants and partner organizations. Currently, the program has a network of 19 local arts and cultural organizations.

“We are thrilled to receive this generous support from FHLB Dallas and Centinel Bank of Taos,” said Chelsea Reidy, executive director of TCA. “This grant allows us to deepen our investment in the next generation of creative professionals by expanding access to meaningful, paid internships that build both technical and life skills.”

The FHLB Dallas PGP offers up to a 5:1 match of member contributions—up to $25,000 per FHLB Dallas member—to support community-based organizations involved in affordable housing or economic development activities that complement other FHLB Dallas community investment programs. In 2025, FHLB Dallas and its members awarded more than $1.2 million to 42 community-based organizations.

The Inter-Arts Internship Program has grown rapidly since its launch, with TCA projecting 50 youth participants in 2025. Interns receive mentorship from arts professionals and develop skills in digital literacy, communications and arts production, preparing them for careers in New Mexico’s creative economy.
