Hochschild Brings Extensive Financial Services Leadership, Strengthening AppGate’s Mission to Make the Connected World Safer

With more than 25 years of executive leadership in financial services, Mr. Hochschild has a proven record of guiding organizations through transformative innovation, navigating complex regulatory environments, and driving customer-centric business growth on a global scale.

Mr. Hochschild brings to the board executive leadership experience through his service as CEO and President of a large publicly traded digital banking and payment services company. This experience will enable AppGate to strengthen its fraud protection platform, 360 Fraud Protection, which provides comprehensive threat management, brand protection and fraud prevention to financial institutions.

• Most recently, Mr. Hochschild served as Chief Executive Officer and President of Discover Financial Services.
• Prior to his CEO role, he held several senior positions, including Chief Administrative & Strategic Officer at Morgan Stanley and Chief Marketing Officer at Discover.
• He has also worked with MBNA America and Booz Allen Hamilton.
• Mr. Hochschild currently serves as Senior Advisor at Magnetar and as a Board Member at Principal Financial Group, where he also chairs the Nominating and Governance Committee.
• He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Georgetown University, and an MBA from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
