Educators May Now Apply for 2025–2026 NSTA Awards Program

Thousands in Cash and Prizes Awarded Annually to Science and STEM Educators

MCLEAN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The National Science Teaching Association (NSTA) is now accepting applications for its 2025–2026 Awards Program. NSTA Awards honor K–12 educators for their outstanding work and achievement in science and STEM education.

Educators may now apply for these awards:

• Angela Award, sponsored by NSTA
• Maitland P. Simmons Memorial Award for New Teachers, sponsored by an endowment from Maitland P. Simmons
• Robert E. Yager Exemplary Teaching Award, sponsored by an endowment from Robert Yager
• Shell Science Teaching Award, sponsored by Shell
• Shell Urban Science Educators Development Award, sponsored by Shell
• Sylvia Shugrue Award for Elementary School Teachers, sponsored by an endowment from Sylvia Shugrue

In addition to receiving cash and prizes, all awardees will be formally recognized during the NSTA National Conference on Science Education in Anaheim, April 15–18, 2026.

Applications for all six awards are due by December 19.
