Agilysys Adds Hospitality Hall of Fame Member Sudharshan Chary To Its Executive Team

(Nasdaq: AGYS), a leading global provider of modern hospitality software and services, today announced that Sudharshan Chary, co-founder of Datavision Technologies and a 2019 inductee into the Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®) International Technology Hall of Fame, has joined the Agilysys executive leadership team as Senior Vice President, Product Strategy.

Reporting directly to President and Chief Executive Officer Ramesh Srinivasan, Mr. Chary will work in concert with Frank Pitsikalis and Rohith Kori -- who also serve in Senior Vice President, Product Strategy roles -- to help hospitality organizations understand how to maximize the revenue and operating advantages of the Agilysys modern, cloud-native, data-driven, end-to-end integrated technology ecosystem.

Mr. Chary gained prominence in the hospitality industry by recognizing the potential of combining data from various hotel systems and using business intelligence to improve hotel operations long before doing so became an accepted practice. Understanding the power of turning raw data into actionable information to drive optimal decisions, Mr. Chary co-founded Datavision Technologies and built data models and a BI platform crafted specifically for hospitality organizations.

Mr. Chary served as the technology and data visionary, sales evangelist and president for the Company, helping hospitality leaders understand how to apply data and user-driven BI to optimize their operations, expand revenue opportunities and elevate customer service levels. In 2022, Otelier acquired the hospitality-focused BI platform to expand its hotel performance and analytics footprint.

In 2019, Mr. Chary was inducted into the HFTP International Technology Hall of Fame for developing the first business intelligence platform specifically for hospitality and pioneering the widespread adoption of modular, user-driven BI in the industry.
