NIQ Continues Investment in Retail Media Sector with New Leadership Appointment in North America

Appointment of North American Vice President of Retail Media, Drew Dabbelt, Showcases NIQ’s Commitment to Expanding Retail Media Team

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--NielsenIQ (NYSE: NIQ) is pleased to announce the appointment of Drew Dabbelt as Vice President of Retail Media for NIQ North America. Dabbelt, a seasoned leader with nearly 15 years of experience in media, advertising technology, and retail, will spearhead the development of innovations for retail media networks, delivering comprehensive solutions for both retailers and brands.

With this appointment, NIQ is making significant investments in expanding its retail media team, reflecting its commitment to staying at the forefront of this rapidly evolving industry. By growing its team, NIQ aims to enhance its capabilities in delivering cutting-edge solutions that meet the dynamic needs of its clients.

Dabbelt joins NIQ from Amazon, where he led high-growth enterprise sales teams, bespoke retail measurement programs, and the go-to-market strategy for Amazon's Demand Side Platform (DSP). Prior to Amazon, Dabbelt was instrumental in crafting and scaling the earliest retail media solutions for Target's Roundel business with Google, covering search, display, and video media.

“For NIQ clients, this expansion means access to more robust and innovative retail media solutions that can drive better engagement and results,” said Dan Bonert who joined NIQ as SVP of Retail Media at NIQ North America in December 2024. “The CPG industry at large stands to benefit from NIQ's enhanced focus on retail media, as it will lead to more effective and efficient ways to connect with consumers and drive growth.”

In his new role, Dabbelt will focus on building partnerships and leading innovation in retail media networks. His extensive background in media and advertising technology positions him to drive significant growth and innovation at NIQ.

“There's a confluence of trends across the media industry driving brands to continue to grow their retail media investments,” said Drew Dabbelt, commenting on his appointment. “NIQ is incredibly well positioned to accelerate those trends. I'm excited to partner with retailers to build brand-centric solutions and power the next wave of retail media growth; the opportunity for retailers is immense.”

NIQ is confident that Dabbelt's expertise and vision will be invaluable as the company continues to expand its retail media capabilities and deliver exceptional value to its clients.
