Grange Insurance Names Steve Marohn as Commercial Lines President

COLUMBUS, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today, Grange Insurance Company announced that Steve Marohn has been named the company’s Commercial Lines President.

With more than 35 years of commercial lines experience, Marohn most recently served as President of the Specialty Property and Casualty division at Hanover Insurance. In that role, he led a $580M specialty property and casualty portfolio across business units. In the decade prior, Marohn held multiple leadership positions with CNA, one of the largest commercial property and casualty insurance companies in the U.S. He completed his tenure at CNA as the Senior Vice President of Small Business, where he managed a national $600M small commercial portfolio. Prior to his work with CNA, Marohn spent 18 years with AIG in several underwriting and field leadership roles, including four years based in Tokyo, Japan responsible for the commercial portfolios for Japan and South Korea.

Marohn has supported many nonprofit organizations in the cities where he has lived and worked, including Junior Achievement, Gamma Iota Sigma (GIS), and the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF). He currently sits on the IICF’s Board of Governors, and has held previous roles including Past Chair, member of the IICF Western Division Board of Directors, IICF Global Membership Founding Circle member, IICF 30th Anniversary Committee member, and IICF Board of Governors Compensation Committee member.

Marohn earned his bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University and holds the CPCU designation.
