Pretium Announces Establishment of Insurance Solutions Group to Expand Its Insurance-Focused Strategy

Paul Brown Joins Firm to Co-Lead Group Alongside Kevin Relihan

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Pretium, a specialized investment firm managing approximately $60 billion in assets under management, today announced the expansion of its business partnering with insurance companies and providing access to customized private credit assets. Paul Brown has joined Pretium as a Managing Director to co-lead the Firm’s newly formed Insurance Solutions Group alongside Managing Director Kevin Relihan. Together, Brown and Relihan will focus on expanding the firm’s insurance partnerships and offerings.

Paul Brown brings deep expertise and experience in insurance, investment management, and capital markets to Pretium. Previously, he served as Managing Director and Co-Head of Corporate Development at Ares Insurance Solutions. Prior to that, he was Executive Vice President, Capital and Strategy, and Chief Investment Officer at Aspida Financial. Paul has also held senior roles in investment banking at JP Morgan, Merrill Lynch, and Credit Suisse First Boston. He began his career as an attorney at Cravath, Swaine & Moore, focusing on mergers and acquisitions and corporate law.

Paul earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Yale University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law.
