Crisp Announces Crisp AI Agent Studio for Retail to Orchestrate the Automation of Retail Performance

Crisp’s fleet of AI Agents automates and optimizes retail functions for CPG brands and retailers to manage out-of-stocks, assortment and promotion planning, and category management

BENTONVILLE, Ark.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Crisp, the leading collaborative commerce platform for retail data, has launched Crisp AI Agent Studio, the industry’s first purpose-built AI agent platform for the retail industry. The AI Agent Studio is designed to orchestrate the delivery of insights and drive actions that improve retail performance across multiple systems. This level of industry-specific problem-solving for CPGs and retailers is enabled by Crisp’s deep retail data foundation, which cleanses, models and interprets a brand’s own diverse data sets.

"This ground-breaking initiative delivers on the promise of true agentic commerce specifically built for the retail industry and enables brands and retailers to go ‘from data to done’.” - Are Traasdahl, CEO and founder of Crisp

With the Agent Studio, AI agents perform specialized functions based on retail industry expertise. Agents analyze data points across millions of products and store locations, and then take autonomous actions based on their findings. For example, Crisp’s Promotion Planning agent can design a seasonal campaign plan for a given product, recommend the inventory needed to supply the promotion, and coordinate with relevant team members via Slack. The Agents, built with a full learning and reasoning loop, are designed to leverage extensive retail data sets and Crisp’s proprietary modeling. They retain context and learn with each customer and can be easily customized for the specific use cases of each user.

“AI agent technology is particularly promising for the retail industry, which deals with vast data sets, complex operations and the need to move at a rapid pace,” said Are Traasdahl, CEO and founder at Crisp. “Sales, supply chain, and category management teams are often paralyzed by ‘report overload'. With Agent Studio, we’re upleveling data usage from reactive reporting to fully autonomous root cause analyses that drive actions across multiple systems. This ground-breaking initiative delivers on the promise of true agentic commerce specifically built for the retail industry and enables brands and retailers to go ‘from data to done’.”

Accessible via a rich user experience with interactive chat with text or voice, the deployed agents can be automated to run on set schedules or operate continuously. The Agent Studio is deeply integrated with Crisp’s semantic layer, supporting team members in effectively using the AI agents without requiring extensive technical expertise. By understanding business-focused language around retail data, Crisp’s newest innovation ensures consistency in data and metric calculations, as well as sub-second query latency.

The Agent Studio accelerates the broader trend of the rise of AI agent technology and applies it to perform specific tasks for the retail industry. When the AI agents are in interactive mode, their goals and operating procedures adapt fluently to meet the user’s needs. For example, if an out-of-stock agent has a certain threshold it is monitoring, and a supply chain manager wants to change the threshold for certain products, stores or regions within a certain time period, this can be done in seconds by simply voicing the desired change. Similarly, when a particular problem or opportunity is identified, a user may simply ask the agent to schedule the same analysis going forward to automatically identify a similar situation in the future. This makes the configuration of advanced exception-based alerting, and automated actions possible for CPG brands and retailers to complete in seconds, rather than hours or days.

The Crisp AI Agent Studio for Retail is currently available in private beta, with a public beta period beginning at the end of Q3/start of Q4. For more information and to join the waiting list, please visit gocrisp.com/studio.
