Veteran finance executive joins Island to guide the next phase of growth as the Enterprise Browser transforms enterprise security and productivity

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Island, the Enterprise Browser company, today announced the appointment of Tim MacCarrick as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). MacCarrick brings more than 25 years of financial and operational leadership across high-growth software and technology organizations, including both public companies and private equity-backed firms.

MacCarrick has held CFO and chief operations officer (COO) roles at companies serving a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, automotive, retail, healthcare, life sciences, and financial services. His experience includes guiding global enterprise software companies through periods of rapid scale, international expansion, and capital market readiness. He joins Island from project44, and previously served in key leadership roles at OutSystems, Qlik, DLL, Crane Co., and Xerox.

As CFO, MacCarrick will lead Island’s global Finance and Legal operations and related strategy, supporting the company’s accelerating growth and expansion. With millions of users globally, Island has achieved widespread adoption among the world's largest enterprises and a rapidly growing footprint across small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs).

“Island is experiencing exceptional traction as organizations recognize the power of the Enterprise Browser,” said Island CEO and Co-Founder Mike Fey. “Tim’s financial expertise and operational mindset will be invaluable as we scale globally. His track record driving growth at technology companies across stages and structures makes him a strong fit for our next chapter.”

Island’s Enterprise Browser redefines how organizations secure, control, and enable work. It provides unparalleled security and visibility at the endpoint, while empowering users with seamless access to business-critical tools—including secure AI usage—aligned with enterprise policies. Island helps CIOs and CISOs reduce complexity and cost by modernizing their IT and security stacks.

“Island sits at the intersection of two major enterprise priorities: securing data and empowering users,” said MacCarrick. “What drew me to Island is its category-leading product-market fit and obsession with delivering exceptional customer value. I’m excited to add my experience to this talented team and help drive the company’s next phase of growth.”

The Island Enterprise Browser

The Island Enterprise Browser is the ideal enterprise workspace and application delivery platform. Island makes work simple, natural, and highly productive and keeps data fundamentally secure. By embedding the core IT, security, and productivity needs into the browser itself, Island provides organizations with unprecedented last-mile control, enabling them to precisely govern all browser activity.

IT teams log and audit work activity while keeping personal browsing private. Security teams protect sensitive data from even the most sophisticated attacks, with a secure-by-design architecture. And users gain productivity-enhancing features while working in the familiar chromium-based browser experience.

Leading enterprises across all industries are using the Island Enterprise Browser to deliver secure access to SaaS and web apps, enable zero-trust network access, make BYOD viable, onboard contractors in minutes rather than weeks, support smooth M&A transitions, reduce reliance on virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), and transform how work gets done.
