Group 1001 Insurance Appoints Linda Wang as President of Life & Annuity

ZIONSVILLE, Ind.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Group 1001 Insurance, a leading financial services company, today announced the promotion of Linda Wang to President of its Life & Annuity business unit. In addition to this new role, Wang will continue to serve as Chief Financial Officer of Group 1001 Insurance, maintaining oversight of the company’s financial strategy and performance.

Over the past several years, Wang has led with strategic vision, financial discipline, and operational excellence. As President of the Life & Annuity business, Wang will lead strategic initiatives and drive disciplined execution across key business functions, while continuing to report to Group 1001’s Chief Executive Officer and President, Dan Towriss. In her role as Chief Financial Officer of Group 1001 Insurance, she will also assume direct responsibilities for Information Technology, Information Security, and Internal Audit, in addition to the oversight of the company’s financial management functions.

Wang has been with Group 1001 for more than six years, overseeing the company’s Accounting, Treasury, Tax, Actuarial services, and Corporate planning functions. Prior to joining Group 1001, she served as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Actuary of Old Mutual’s Bermuda business. Prior to Old Mutual, Wang held a number of senior-level finance and actuarial management positions.
