NextNav’s 3D Location Technology Now Helping 9-1-1 Telecommunicators in Portions of North Central Texas

RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--NextNav Inc. (Nasdaq: NN), a leader in next generation positioning, navigation and timing (PNT), announced today that its 3D mapping system is now live at select early adopter Emergency Communications Centers (ECCs) within the North Central Texas Emergency Communications District (NCT9-1-1). Full deployment across the district is scheduled for completion later this quarter.

This breakthrough technology allows 9-1-1 call centers to see not just the horizontal location of a caller, but also their vertical position — in other words, how high they are within a building. By visualizing calls in a 3D wireframe view of buildings, first responders can visualize where help is needed faster and more accurately, especially in tall or complex buildings.
